My #10 Favorite Polish for Winter for 2016 is...

 Gala-Vanting!!

I fall in love with every Essie Gel Couture polish I try, and this one in no exception :). They truly are amazing! This polish is a beautiful deep rich berry/burgundy color, which gets richer and deeper in color with each coat but, is opaque in two coats. It's so glossy and with the Essie Gel Couture top coat, it's very long wearing. If you want to see my review of this polish line click on the link below

The swatch below is three coats and one top coat. So beautiful!!

I really wanted a soft and delicate lacey look for Valentine's day.
And, I love a good twist on a french tip. This design is a little more on the intermediate side, so watch my full length tutorial for some tips and tricks. Can you see the hearts?! Ha they really are pretty small.

Valentine's Nail Design: Roses and Polka Dots

Roses and Polka Dots (red and black)

My last Valentine nail design for 2016. I love this romantic look so much, and I love red and black together! I used a dotting tool for the design. If you don't have a dotting tool you can use a toothpick.

Here are the products I used to create this look:

Valentine Nail Design: Dry Brush Heart

I love the dry brush technique! First of all it looks cool! It's super easy to do and there are no tools required. Can't get much better than that. I wanted to create a Valentine look using this technique and came up with this design. I love it! And can I say how much I love black polish, it's so classy and perfect on shorter nails!

Valentine Nail Design: Love and Polka Dots!

Love and Polka Dots

Another simple nail design for Valentines Day! I love this classic love of black and white and polka dots. All you need is love...and polka dots.

I have a lot of tips for this design in my full length tutorial, but another tip when doing the lettering, is to make sure you position/rest your painting hand against your other hand in a comfortable, stable way to give you more control of the brush. You can practice this on your unpainted nail a few times (that's what I did). And, don't forget if you use a fast dry top coat and give it time to dry all the way (at least 15-30 minutes). If you mess up, you can wipe off the acrylic paint with a damp Q-tip or cotton round and start again. And remember, it really doesn't have to be perfect. :)

Here are the supplies I used to create this look:

Valentine Nail Design: Purple Rose Heart

 Rose Heart (Purple)

Here's a another Valentines nail design idea for you guys! I love these adorable roses in a heart shape. Do you? This look is fairly simple to create if you can mix paint and blob it on your nail, and using acrylic paints makes it even easier. You can use regular nail polish to make the roses if you want to, but keep in mind that it dries fast so you need to work pretty quickly.

Here are the supplies I used to create this look:

Simple nail designs are my favorite, especially these soft romantic roses on negative space. This design is perfect for a Valentine's Day mani!

You can use any color that fits your style with this design. I used red as well and it definitely changes the look quite a bit!
