My #10 Favorite Polish for Winter for 2016 is...

 Gala-Vanting!!

I fall in love with every Essie Gel Couture polish I try, and this one in no exception :). They truly are amazing! This polish is a beautiful deep rich berry/burgundy color, which gets richer and deeper in color with each coat but, is opaque in two coats. It's so glossy and with the Essie Gel Couture top coat, it's very long wearing. If you want to see my review of this polish line click on the link below

The swatch below is three coats and one top coat. So beautiful!!

I really wanted a soft and delicate lacey look for Valentine's day.
And, I love a good twist on a french tip. This design is a little more on the intermediate side, so watch my full length tutorial for some tips and tricks. Can you see the hearts?! Ha they really are pretty small.

My #9 Favorite Winter Polish for 2016 is...

My Pal Joey!!

I love this rich blue polish from the OPI Hello Kitty Collection that was released in early spring of 2016. It's a blue with just touch of purple. It has a great formula and is opaque in two easy coats. Wow! Look a that swatch. She's a stunner. Not much else to say about her.

When I first bought this polish I really wanted to see how this compared to other bright blues in my collection. (Please note that my bright light can make even the smallest differences apparent. In darker light they are all pretty similar.)

When compared to Essie Butler Please you can see that BP is slightly more purple and not quite as bright as MPJ. I really was most curious to see how it compared to my all time favorite blue- Pacific Blue from Sally Hansen (org. formula). They are pretty close, but PB is a touch brighter and is slightly more purple toned as well. Sally Hansen reformulated the formula of PB and the ones you can purchase now are horrible, the original formulated polishes are now discontinued :(! So, if you didn't get your hands on the original PB polish, My Pal Joey is a great alternative. And lastly, RG & PB is quite a bit lighter, but pretty much the same shade of blue.

I went with an abstract design and it really is SO easy to create. I have been enjoying this mani quite a bit, and would love to see it done with a different color palette as well. I will have to do it again with different colors later. What do you think about this design?

My #8 Favorite Polish for Winter 2016 is...

Lincoln Park After Dark!!

This classic polish is part of OPI's classic collection and has been around for a looong time. I would be curious to see if there is anyone out there (who is a nail polish lover) who hasn't tried it. Let me know down below if you have this in your collection.

There are many vampy polishes like this one, but I feel like there is something in this formula that sets it apart from all the others. It's a deep, deep purple. So deep, it's almost black. It has SO much depth when you have it on and it's so shiny. It has a slightly jelly formula. It's hot blooded! You just need to check it and see! (You see what I did there) Ha! Two easy coats for this one.

I love deep purples paired with soft purples and I knew that this would be SO good with Go Go Geisha by Essie. And yep, they look so spectacular together. It was meant to be. :) This delicate floral design really is pretty simple to create, you just need the right supplies and the right tools. Click on the link below to see the full length tutorial. I also have a list of all the supplies in the description box of the video. Thanks for visiting!!

My #7 Favorite Polish for Winter 2016 is...

 Hang Up The Heels!!

This gorgeous black based polish has the most gorgeous teal shimmer running through it! It's one of the new Essie Gel Couture polishes that were released in 2016. I have loved EVERY polish I have tried from this line but, this one has to be one of my top choices for sure. I have a review of this polish line. If you are interested, click on the link below.

It has great formula! Opaque in two generous coats. Isn't she stunning?!

I thought this polish would pair perfectly with an elegant white granite design. This design is all the rave right now, and for good reason. It's just so pretty! I did the tutorial a little different this time around. I try three different methods to create this look. I wanted to see what method worked the best for me, but what you have around the house might determine what method you want to try. :)

I also review this Born Pretty Silicone Mat in this tutorial. This was sent to me to review and I am so happy with it. It will get a ton of use from me. Go and watch the tutorial! I also have the discount code on my video so you can get 10% your purchases. Have a great day everyone!

My #6 Favorite Polish for WInter 2016 is...

Coca-Cola Red!

I have been coveting this polish for sometime and was finally able to get my hands on it! So many people (who love polish as much as I do) have mentioned how much they love it, so I decided I needed to add it to my collection. It does not disappoint! This polish was released as part of the Coca-Cola Collection  released in 2014. It's the perfect balance of warm and cool tones and I feel like it would look great on anyone. The formula is fantastic, opaque in two easy coats! I also added a layer of HK Girl top coat for some extra shine.

I know there are a million reds out there that are similar to this one so I didn't do any comparisons. Do I really think you need to go out and get this exact one? Not particulary- not unless you are a collector and what this specific polish in your collection. :)

I wanted to do a distressed design using this because I always seem to do something traditional with a classic red. I love that it's unique. What do you think about it?

My #5 Favorite Polish for Winter 2016 is...

Go With The Flowy!

This polish was released as part of the Essie Getting Groovy Winter collection for 2016! It's a gorgeous soft cool toned gray (it almost leans blue) with some subtle silver shimmer. I knew when I saw this polish online that I needed it and when I swatched it for the first time I knew it would be one of my winter favorites. Formula is great. Opaque in two easy coats.

I don't really have any comparisons for this polish. Which is one of the reasons I love it so much. Here it is next to Now and Zen which was released as part of the Essie Fall 2016 collection. As you can see, it's much much lighter and slightly more cool toned.

I have switched to new lighting so this picture is quite different than the other. Sorry, it always take some time to work out kinks when getting new equipment. Anyway, my cute friend on Insta (@curlycomedynailart) said this design looked like Hot Cocoa and I have to agree! So, that's what I have named this simple design. Since I have done tutorials similar to this one, made the tutorial for this one slightly different. I show you the entire process of one hand to make it go as quick as possible. I hope you enjoy it!
